About Mahmood

Welcome to my world of numbers, creativity, and purpose!

I’m thrilled to have you here, so let me take a moment to introduce myself. I am a business finance coach, accountant, tax advisor, educator, and author, with a passion for helping arts and social enterprises organisations like yours increase their financial awareness, achieve financial success, and reduce stress along the way.

With my 28+ years of experience in this field, I’ve had the privilege of supporting arts and social enterprises, and charities, helping them to be the best versions of themselves.

My affinity for the arts and social enterprise industry runs deep. I believe in the power of creativity and purpose-driven endeavours to make a positive impact on the world. This is what led me to specialise in supporting arts and social enterprises, as I recognised the immense potential in these sectors to create meaningful change.

Connections

Over the years, I’ve built personal connections within the arts and social enterprise community, and I’m actively involved in the governance of various educational establishments across the East Midlands and beyond. I’ve served as a Board Trustee for organisations and contributed to the charitable and creative sectors in both professional and voluntary capacities, including:

• Art Reach
• The Spark Arts for Children
• Great Central Railway
• Leicester Print Workshop
• Nottingham Contemporary

• Voluntary Action Melton
• East Midlands Shape (EMS)
• East Midlands Arts (EMA)
• Foundation Housing

Qualifications

My qualifications and experiences are a testament to my dedication and expertise in accounting, tax, and business matters. I hold FCCA, FTT, FRSA, MCMI, DMS, PGCE, and a BSc (Hons) degree. Beyond accounting, my journey has taken me overseas to work in Cuba, Africa and Russia, broadening my horizons and enriching my perspective on global financial matters.
